Healthy Home & Living Expo

The Rochester SCHS Athletics Healthy Home & Living Expo is being held at Stoney Creek High School on Saturday, March 25th, from 12-5pm. 100% of ticket and fundraising proceeds go directly to the department and participating teams to support their fundraising efforts. Admission is $5 at the door and $10 VIP tickets are available on-line.

The expo promotes healthy living and highlights the commitment of local businesses and community organizations to a healthier world. The event offers a wide variety of exhibits, entertainment and education.

A GREEN Event

MI Green Team is pleased to offer an event-wide effort to provide an eco-friendly experience. Supporting the exhibits and activities are initiatives in energy, materials and design:

  • compostable and recyclable food service disposables will be used; 
  • a web-based event guide, including map and exhibitor/program listings. 
  • when available, electricity is produced on site using biodiesel generator and solar photovoltaic (PV) systems;
  • donations from visitors are used to offset their travel to the event thru the purchase of carbon offset credits.
Behind the scenes, the expo limits paper consumption by using online registration forms, keeping printed marketing materials to a minimum, and using recycled paper when printing is required. Also, the expo gives preference to local participants and suppliers to reduce “embedded energy” and to promote local economy.
