Introduction to Small Wind Energy Systems

This presentation is an introduction to small wind energy systems and is designed to provide an overview to persons interested in wind energy or persons considering the purchase of a small wind energy system for their home or business. The session will include the benefits and economics of wind energy, a review of wind energy turbines, proper siting of a system, and financial and technical resources that can be helpful.

Presenter Bio

John Sarver became Executive Director of the Great Lakes Renewable Energy Assoc. on March 1 of this year. Previously he worked for the Michigan Energy Office for 35 years where he was responsible for industrial, commercial, and residential energy efficiency programs, and efforts to promote solar and wind energy. John chairs the Michigan Wind Working Group and has a small PV system installed on his roof. He has a Masters in Public Policy from the University of Michigan.
