PPG Fireworks Festival

MI Green Team is pleased to announce the first annual PPG Fireworks Festival to be held at the beautiful and historic Packard Proving Grounds on Tuesday July 3rd starting at 5pm, followed by the Shelby Township DDA Independence Day Fireworks at 10pm. The family-friendly celebration will offer live entertainment, kids activities, concessions, shopping, and much more.

Passes are available on-line at the links above and a limited number at the gate. A $20 parking pass includes on-site parking for one vehicle, admission for all vehicle occupants to the guest, exhibit, stage, kids and concessions areas, a goody bag with gift cards and $5 in concessions vouchers, as well as a $5 donation to the Packard Motor Car Foundation. A $10 admission pass is available for walk-ins. Gates open at 4pm. Pets, coolers, fireworks, alcohol, weapons and outside food & drink are prohibited. Minors must be accompanied by an adult. Rain date is July 10.

Shelby Township Independence Day Fireworks

Presented by the Shelby Township Downtown Development Authority (DDA), the Shelby Township Independence Day Fireworks will begin at 10 p.m. July 3.

The fireworks will be visible throughout the Shelby Township DDA Van Dyke corridor. Festivities will be provided at the Packard Proving Grounds at 49965 Van Dyke Ave. The township will host families at Ford Field Park at 7460 23 Mile Road.

Kids Activities

Kids activities will include an inflatable bouncer, maze and slide for younger kids, 25’ tower climb for older kids, and plenty of “retro games” for kids of all ages.

Live Entertainment

The main stage program will offer a full line up of live entertainment, hosted by Jennifer Kincer, popular  singer/actress and talent manager, and featuring local-favorite musical acts and dance groups, and an Independence Day ceremony led by local dignitaries and concluding with the singing of the national anthem by the winner of the Shelby Star-Spangled Singer contest winner.

Exhibitors & Vendors

Exhibits will include 50+ local vendors offering a wide variety of products and services for home, kids, pets, personal care, gifts, and much more. Many exhibitors will offer door prizes, free samples & show specials. Concessions include delicious food, drink and snack offerings from the area’s leading restaurants, food trucks and caterers. Check back often, as these will be added regularly.
